Students and staff in Bishopville, South Carolina schools can now enjoy the world’s best beverage brands and flavors, thanks to a new partnership between Coca-Cola Consolidated and the Lee County School District. This agreement makes Coca-Cola Consolidated the official provider of beverages for all academic and athletic events at Lee County’s six schools.
Through this collaboration, students in the Lee County School District will have access to additional opportunities, such as internships, employment opportunities, and sponsorship of school activities.
“This partnership will open even more doors for us to engage in internship programs, student academic award programs and improve the workforce opportunities for future teammates,” said Marquez Cain, Coca-Cola Consolidated Bishopville production supervisor.
Cain, a Bishopville native and Coca-Cola Consolidated Teammate for more than 20 years, is passionate about his hometown and the role the bottling plant there serves in the community.
“We are very fortunate to partner with this major corporation which has a local base in Lee County,” said Bernard McDaniel, Superintendent of Lee County School District. “We are excited that Coca-Cola Consolidated has expressed an interest in our school system and, more importantly, the future of our students.”
McDaniel further noted that it simply made sense for the school district to partner with Coca-Cola Consolidated which has invested in the county and employs many of the parents to students in Lee County Schools.
